Anyone here into it? Bet on it?

I knew absolutely nothing about it until I watched the Netflix show and got hooked. This is my first season watching it and am betting on it for fun. Odds seem pretty terrible overall but that doesn't stop me lol, it's really fun to watch with some $ on it. I did manage to get a bet on Mercedes to win the constructors at +325 which I'm happy about.

Yup I've been watching for many years, Max taking Lewis out today felt great

This has probably been the most dramatic F1 season I've seen in my life, Max and Lewis drive on another lvl than the rest of the field and Max is in suicidal mode where he will crash before letting Lewis pass him, this could very well end like that Senna vs Prost season where Senna torpedoed Prost in the last race securing the win.

yeah pretty crazy how it has turned out. really entertaining season. looks like i'm going to scoop my +325 on Mercedes, I also have an even money bet on Verstappen :D

Camila I suggest watching the netflix show first so you know everyone involved. makes it pretty cool

If on Quali Max and Hamilton are 1st and 2nd, bet on Max, & DNFs for both, he is ahead (by race wins), and he has shown that he is in a crash-or-pass mode, he is going to crash into Lewis in turn 1 trying to pass him and he won't let Lewis pass by any means, if that 1-2 scenario happens the only way Lewis wins is by pit strategy getting out of range of some crazy crash lunge Max could pull.

ROFL if i win my bets i'll be back to almost even, i'm a donk. most all the bets have TERRIBLE odds...but i have figured out two things:1) if you want to bet on any mid-fielders to win or podium, wait til there is rain on race day. they is gunna crash 2) Driver head2head bets seem to have reasonable odds once in a while and typically teammates dont pass one another so grid position in teammate H2H is all-important.

There's a lot of data in F1 and its not a very chaotic system compared to other sports to the points the teams have computers telling them when to pit etc, seem like a good or bad market to bet depending how much homework you did.

qualifying just finished, insane bottas didnt tow hamilton. hopefully max scoops it with pole

wtf i won my bets and of course max is a beast with his overall performance of the season, but Lewis/Merecedes absolutely MURDED the last bunch of races this season including this one. There is for sure argument that Lewis didn't give back the advantage he gained from when Max pushed him out, but it's clear Lewis outpaced him. fkn crazy

redbull sitting at +225 for constructors next year, thinking about betting it. IMO Perez really came into form the last half of the season and then Mercedes is going -Bottas +Russell, even though Russell is a superstar it might take him a while to get into form with the merecedes car.

but redbull is parting ways with honda and putting in their own branded engine

a lot of variance, i'd expect redbull to know wtf they are doing engine wise after Honda worked out so well

Those odds seem awful, 2022 is a completely different car so all previous dominances mean shit its a clean slate and some manufacturers have abandoned hopes in 2021 to focus on 2022 while Merc and Redbull were still developing their 2021 to the max, so it wouldn't be suprising if Ferrari or McLaren dominated 2022.

I don't think you are getting it, the 2021-2022 car switch isn't like the previous years, usually the FIA lets Formula 1 cars relatively unchanged for about 4 years, this time due to the pandemic and other things we had the same F1 cars for like 8 years of Mercedes domination, but it ends this year, the 2022 car is totally different and now theres a budget cap, so it is unlikely that Mercedes and Redbull are the top 2 teams, see this as a re-shuffle of the teams, the one thing going for merecedes is that the engine will still be a 1.6L turbo hybrid with some minor modifications so that minimizes the impact to them.

i knew they were doing the budget cap but i didnt realize it was going to be this drastic of a change. wow that's really exciting

i like ferrari esp leclerc to win the chip. i hope one of my buddies gets a ferrari soon so i can drive it. i wont be able to get one anytime soon but who knows miracles do happen.

man if it werent for ferrari shitting the bed all the time my bets would be mostly fked. summer break time, will be really interesting to see the start of the second half of the season

yeah pretty consistent pwnage by Redbull. We really did have an amazing season last season. I hope Mercedes get on par with Redbull next season, I think we'll have a 3-way title fight between Max/Lewis/Russel.
